Any way you look at it, 2024 was one for the books. From Caitlin Clark’s record-breaking basketball season and Taylor Swift’s globe-trotting Eras tour to the sick-making prospect of Trump 2.0, the past twelve months were what historians refer to as a “long strange trip.” Reviving a holiday tradition anew for the A/V Club – with all the merriment I can muster at the moment –here are ten noteworthy, occasionally cringeworthy quotes from the year that was.
