Swanskin & The Live Echoes’ 51 Day Standoff Marks the Start of Another Cycle

Bloomington, IN — February 14, 2025 — There are anniversaries, and then there are anniversaries. Today marks four years since Pique Audio Visual cracked its first bottle and set its first fire with Swanskin & The Live Echoes’ debut single, “While Eating With a Friend Lean Over and Ask If They Can Talk Cause They Might Be Choking.” A name as absurdly long as the aftershock it sent through the foundations of this so-called operation. That wasn’t just a song—it was a bullet through the paper-thin membrane separating intention from action, a sudden and violent affirmation that this thing, whatever it was, had begun.

And now, the wheel turns again. Swanskin & The Live Echoes return with “51 Day Standoff,” a title that sounds like a grim headline from some forgotten American tragedy—and maybe it is. A new dispatch from the edge of whatever this band is trying to say. A sequel? A continuation? A complete rejection of everything that came before? Who the hell knows.

But if history is any guide, this isn’t just a release. It’s another crack in the asphalt. The first song set the wheels in motion, leading PiqueAV into publishing, into comics, into collaborations with Karissa Ray, Chris Resnick, and other restless minds who saw something worth chasing. What the future holds is uncertain, and maybe that’s the point. But on a day when everything circles back to the beginning, one thing seems clear: we’re in for another round.

Listen to 51 Day Standoff now on all streaming platforms.

p.s. Stay tuned for limited edition releases of the Live Echoes issues 1 (redraw) & 2 (for the fist time!) — Coming Spring 2025! A special thanks to those who have pre-ordered! We appreciate you! <3
